Route the huts of the MADRIU
The Madriu-Perafita-Claror valley has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site as a cultural landscape, is a natural space where throughout history there has been an intervention of man shaping and adapting the landscape to the your needs.
With this itinerary, which lasts approximately 6 hours and 30 minutes, we enter the interior of the valley, from the Matxos path, to the Pla de l’Ingla with the aim of visiting the cabins that long ago be used by shepherds who brought their flocks to the valley, from the oldest, in dry stone, to those built in the mid-twentieth century. It will also allow us to approach other human activities such as logging, iron and steel, agriculture and hydroelectric energy.
